Refund & Cancellation Policy
How cancellations, partial refunds and our correction guarantee work — with the numbers stated rather than implied.
Last updated: March 4, 2026. This document applies to https://waheedmirza.ca and to all services provided by Peachtree Legal Services LLC, 826 Peachtree Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223, USA.
1. Cancelling before work begins
If you cancel after accepting a quote but before we have started drafting, your deposit is refunded in full within five business days. No cancellation fee applies.
2. Cancelling after work has begun
If drafting has started, we invoice only the work actually completed and refund the balance of your deposit. We provide a short written statement showing what was done. In practice most partial cancellations are refunded at between 50% and 80% of the deposit.
3. Completed and delivered work
Once documents have been delivered, filed or recorded, fees for that work are non-refundable, because the service has been performed and government fees have been paid on your behalf.
4. Government fees
Recording fees, Ohio Secretary of State filing fees, transfer taxes and apostille fees are paid to third parties and cannot be refunded by us once submitted.
5. Appointment cancellations
Notary and signing appointments cancelled with at least four hours’ notice carry no charge. Later cancellations, and appointments where a signer does not appear or cannot produce valid photo identification, are charged a $45 trip fee.
6. Our correction guarantee
If a document we prepared contains an error caused by us, we correct and re-execute it at our own cost, including any re-recording fee, as a first priority. If our error causes a missed delivery date, we also waive any rush fee and credit $75 against your invoice.
7. How to request a refund
Email admin@waheedmirza.ca with your file reference and the reason. We acknowledge within one business day and resolve within five. Refunds are returned by the original payment method.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a card chargeback. We have resolved every billing dispute directly in twelve years of operation and we would rather keep that record.
